Cascade Chocolate Mohogany Porter reviewed by FazerPete

I can't believe these things cost more
than Coopers. I gave it every
opportunity to shine by adding all the
good stuff: 1.5kg Dark Liq Malt, 50g
black malt, 50g chocolate malt, 25g
Newport @15min & 12g Nottingham yeast.
These ingredients are wasted on this
kit. The result is drinkable but I
think that's down to using good
ingredients. Definitely won't be
buying any more Cascade kits. - Rating:2/5

Coopers Irish Stout reviewed by Jaeger

I made this along with a "Better Black
Beer" pack (500g light DME, 500g dark
DME, 250gm dried corn syrup) from the
local brew shop.

While I was a little concerned that I'd
bottled it too soon, after a few weeks
bottle conditioning the results are
quite promising - smooth, well balanced
flavour and a modest cream head. It
deserves longer bottle conditioning, but
whether it gets it is another thing...

Well worth trying as an alternative to
the regular Coopers Stout kit. - Rating:4/5

Black Rock Dry Lager reviewed by snags

Just an update on the last review
posted. Its now been three months in
the bottle and it is getting there. I
had one the other day and it tasted like
a beer, so hopefully sooner rather than
later it will be a good drop.

All in all, give it time! - Rating:3/5

Coopers Canadian Blonde reviewed by Brian

Well I tried the Coopers Canadian Blonde
with a few additives and came up with a
real nice beer. Started with Coopers
malt extract pack, added 500gr. light
dry malt, also 250gr. dextrose &
250gr.corn syrup. Used coopers yeast
supplied and added 20gr of hersbrucker
hops four days into fermentation after
20 minute boil. Fermented out at low end
of temp. scale 18-20 degrees, not hard
with those temps in Tassie, OG 1042 FG
1008. Kegged in fridge for four days
then filtered and gassed over three
days. Good head retention stuck to the
sides of the glass. Didn't last long as
everyone got stuck into it, so making a
couple of more batches same recipe. All
round a very pleasing beer. - Rating:5/5

Tooheys Draught reviewed by Boingk

Kit was brewed with Coopers Brew
Enhancer 2 [500g Dextrose, 250 each of
Maltodextrin & Light Dried malt Extract]
and 10g Cluster hops simmered for 10
minutes. Fermented with kit yeast at
18-20'C, and after 3 weeks has become a
nice drinkable brew. Not bad at all in
my opinion, and if you're a fan of
Tooheys New then this is the place to
start - easy, cheap & very drinkable. If
this kit isn't treated well it will be
ordinary, so be warned! 4 stars. - Rating:4/5
