Malt Shovel Two-Row Lager
by Backlane Brewery
@ 20, Mar 2005 |

I got this for Xmas, made it up as per
instructions. It was full of hop
pellets, but nothing was said about
filtering etc in the instructions.
The beer is OK, think I kept it within
temp. range, but looks awful with chunks
of crap floating in it.

Cascade Spicy Ghost Draught
by BackLane Brewery

We made one of these up with nothing
special added, just a kilo of light
dried malt. This was being brewed for a
reason and we were really after a simple
distinctively flavoured beer.
It was well looked after, racked to
secondary after 4 days, bottled 3 days
after that. Came up very clear and good
head retention, but try as we might we
cannot find anything in the taste that
bears resemblance to the description on
the outside of the can.
Would try it again with some added hops
in the fermenter
