Grumpys Kilkenny Irish Beer
by Bateau Brewer @ 13, Jun 2006

 5/5

Probably my favourite Grumpy's Brew to date. This is a beer that I do not dare share and plan to make a batch or two every year. I ahve some that has been in the bottle 6 months and it seems to just keep getting better with age.

Grumpy's AUSSIE PUB DRAUGHT
by Bateau Brewer @ 13, Jun 2006

 4/5

Another fine Grumpy's Masterbrew. Made this with a can of Coopers Pale Ale and the under the lid ale yeast. Primary was 8 days at around 20 C. Racked and left for 7 days in secondary at around 20 C then into the bottle.Aussie Pub Draught was tasting great after only three weeks in the bottle.

Coopers Australian Pale Ale
by Bateau Brewer @ 20, Jan 2005

 3/5

Made this with 1.5kg of liquid malt and 500 gms of macadamia farm honey. Early on this was a very average drop but after 6 months in the bottle became very tasty indeed. You could just taste a slight honey flavour in the afer taste.

Tooheys Draught
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

Agree with Voosher. Have made to brews with 2kg of Liquid Malt. Very Good after 6 months. Not kit to make if you want to drink early. More hops would help possibly.

by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 4/5

Have made two of these. First was made with 1.5kg can of Coopers Wheat malt extract and a saaz hop tea into primary and kit yeast very nice drop after 3 months, very refreshing. Second was made with 1.5kg can of Coopers Wheat Malt extract, ikg of #20 Brew Enhancer, yeast Safale/Wheat K-97, what a beer, very smokey taste, very distinctive.Still drinking well after 6 months Will make both again using both methods as both brews were great

What a drop ! Made to instructions and began drinking after 4 weeks. Best to drink this one young, began to lose punch after 3 months although still very refreshing. Will make again and again.

Coopers Sparkling Ale
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 5/5

Have made three of these and each time followed kit instructions. A great beer ! Let this one linger longer and you will enjoy it more. I am letting age for at least four months in the bottle and it just gets better and better.

Coopers Australian Bitter
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 5/5

Have made five of these now ! A great beer that everyone enjoys. I always add 2kg of liquid malt and ferment at 19*c. Have used both the kit yeast and Safale S-04 with great results. Hard to go wrong with these kits

Cascade Spicy Ghost Draught
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 3/5

Made this with 2kg of Liquid Malt Extract and kit yeast. Primary for 6 days @ 19*c Secondary for 5 days. Tastes ok after 1 month in the bottle. I don't think this brew is anything like the marketing hype on the can. The brew is definately not spicey, but very drinkable and simple. Probably wouldn't make again

Cascade Imperial Voyage Pale Ale
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

Was given this kit as a gift. Made with 2kg of liquid malt extract and added 20gms Fuggles Hops tea to primary, kit yeast. Left to ferment for 10 days and bottled. Results were OK , probably wouldn't make again

Black Rock Miners Stout
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 5/5

Used this kit as the base for my first partial mash. Added the following- 500gms Dark Malt Extract, 1kg Dextrose,1kg crystal malt,30gms Fuggles as tea into primary. 6 days primary @ 19*c 3 days secondary after racking. Packs a punch and is a very complex beer, all that have tasted ( I don't like stout people) have asked to take a champers bottle home and have requested more. Superb !

Black Rock Bock
by Bateau Brewer @ 17, Jan 2005

 4/5

Just tasting my first after 2 weeks in the bottle and it is going to be a winner. Still needs time to mature but quite drinkable early on. Added 1.7kg of liquid malt and used the kit yeast. Primary for 6 days at 19*C Racked into secondary and left for another 6 days before bottling. Would do again
