India Pale Ale Fresh Wort Kit

1st batch made according to instructions
with Safale S-04 yeast. Made quite a
nice, but non-descript beer. Low on
bitterness, hops, strength and
character; not sure why it is classed as
an IPA - more like an amber ale.
2nd batch was made with a high
attenuating yeast to increase the
(perceived) bitterness, water reduced to
total 16 liters and 20g of fuggles hops
added (boiled 5 minutes). This made a
very nice beer, closer to what an IPA
should be. 16 liters (just over 15l in
the bottle) for $36 + hops and special
yeast makes it an expensive kit.
