India Pale Ale
by Chris @ 12, Jun 2007

 4/5

Made this brew twice now. I love the intense hoppy bitterness that this beer delivers. If you are a true "Hop Head", this is the beer for you.

Pilsner

 5/5

I have made aprox 8 different Brewhouse kits and I have to say that this is my new favorite. About 3 weeks in the bottle and it is incredible. Just the right amount of hoppy bitterness, while being crisp & clean. Serve with a frosted mug.... YUM!! Aprox 1/4 cup extra sugar used for bottle conditioning. Will definitly be making more!!

Mexican Cervaza
by Chris @ 11, Jun 2007

 4/5

I have made this kit 4 times. It always seems to get better every time I make it. Great summer beer as it is "light & refreshing". You can enjoy it with a lime, but I have found that it has a better taste without, more like a Sol mexican beer. Slight "skunky" smell like Corona that I heard can be hightend by leaving it in the sun for a day after being bottled. I put about a 1/4 cup more sugar in for bottle conditioning to make a true Cerveza.

X-TRACT Pale 3kg
by Chris @ 27, Dec 2005

Made this using a lager yeast as temps were still a bit cold, not bad a little over the top with hops cant drink young after three months it mellows, used it to make chilli beer, is a good base for that atleast. Probably wont make it again.

E.S.B Irish Red Fresh Wort Kit
by Chris @ 27, Dec 2005

 5/5

Ten out of ten for this beauty, nice red colour, with nutty full flavour, very simple to make. Fermented using Wyeast 1028 London Ale, held at 17 deg for two weeks then kegged. 18 litre keg lasted three months not cause it was bad but because it was so good I guarded it jealously :-)

Wal's Lager 1.7kg
by Chris @ 23, Jul 2005

 4/5

Made this beer as per country brewers recipie used 1kg of lite/dark, 12grams of super alpha hops standard method, plus 150grams of choc grain steeped. Very nice beer the flavour of the grain comes through nicely. Used yeast provided, 1 week in primary then racked to secondary for 1 week then bottled. Would make again for sure.

Coopers Canadian Blonde
by Chris @ 23, Jul 2005

 2/5

Made this using 1kg coopers brew enhancer #1 + 500grams of honey, used yeast suplied. 1 week in primary then racked to secondary for another week, then bottled, was nice intially but is the only beer i have made that got worse as it matured, perhaps i over did it with fermentables but i will never try it again to find out.

E.S.B Czech Pilsner
by Chris @ 23, Jul 2005

 4/5

Fermented using yeast supplied, 1 week in primary, 1 week in secondary then bottled. Very refreshing and bitter perfect for a hot summers day, I would make again plus the ease of using the 3kg pack makes it even better.

Morgans Blue Mountain Lager
by Chris @ 23, Jul 2005

 4/5

Very nice kit beer, used supplied yeast & 1kg brew booster. 1 week in primary then split batch half was cold conditioned for 2 weeks other half bottled. Cold conditioning improved greatly, beer gets better as it matures, has a pineapple flavour when green but disappers over time. This beer got me hooked on home brew. Addition of hops would improve.

E.S.B Australian Draught
by Chris @ 23, Jul 2005

 5/5

Very nice beer, didnt last 1 week in my 18lt keg, got better every day would definatly make it again. Used yeast supplied, 1 week in primary then 1 week in secondary then into keg. Fermenting temp was around 18 deg c. I give it a 5 purely for the ease of making it you would be hard pressed to get a better beer.
