Wander Draught
by Kaburpo

Don't toss it; do a toucan. I chucked
one in with a Coopers Draught, brewed
with one packet Cascade Bohemian yeast
11 days @ ~ 22degC. SG: 1044 to 1012.

Rapid Creek Pilsner 1.7kg

@ 28, Dec 2006 |

Just added CBE2 and 12g saaz pellets
(one minute). Brewed at 12 - 16 degC for
14 days.
OG: 1038
FG: 1012
Nice light golden colour, very good head
retention, dry but seriously lacking
flavour and character.

Cascade Imperial Voyage Pale Ale
by Kaburpo
@ 07, Apr 2006 |

Added CBE2, 40g crystal, 20g choc, 14g
Hallertau pellets. Brewed with kit yeast
for 10 days @ 20-26 degC. Well rounded,
flavoursome beer after 4 weeks, colour
clear golden-brown, lighter than I'd
expected. Done same recipe previously
using a cultured yeast from a Coopers
Sparkling Ale and brewed 6 days @ 26-32
degC with similar pleasing results.

Cascade Spicy Ghost Draught
by Kaburpo

After 4 brews its now my fave. The cans
have a ring-pull and a Bohemian yeast
that I've used at 10degC. The can blurb
claims the Ghost is "wheat inspired"
but there is no reason to assume that
there is any wheat malt in it, or even
any connection with the Tasmanian
brewery. However this CUB kit has plenty
for guzzlers of Cascade Draught and
Carlton Draught, beers I quite like
(I'm no elitist) so long as the latter
is brewed south of the Murray. The kit
will yield a tasty, light-coloured
draught, and you can easily beef-up the
colour with a little added crystal and
choc, and give it a finishing hop lift.
Great value, flexible and consistent.
