Muntons Export Stout
by Lady B @ 13, Jun 2006

 4/5

Started this one brewing early December, weather very, very hot so difficult to keep temperature down. Mostly brewed around 24 degrees Celsius. Used 1 kg of "stout mix" from Blue Mountains Brewing, a combination of Dark dried malt extract 500g, light dried malt extract 250 g, maltodextrin 250 g. Used the yeast from the can. Bottled after 14 days, primed with 6 gm dextrose per 740 ml bottle. After 4 months in bottle, foamed up a lot when opening, but taste was really good. After 6 months, excellent. Good creamy, long lasting head. Taste is rich, dark, with a hint of toffee. A wonderful brew.
