Grumpys DOUBLE HOP PALE ALE
by LX
@ 20, Apr 2005 |

|
|
This was my first masterbrew.I made this
with a can of coopers draught and the
yeast that came with the tin. I racked,
cold conditioned and bulk primed. After
2 months in the bottle it is now a crisp
drinking ale with plenty of hopps.
Would be a perfect beer to wash down the
dust after a hot day in the sun.
I will be making this one again for
sure.
(I would like to try this with a lager
yeast and see how it would turn out.)

Coopers Stout
by LX

I used a simple recipe which never seems
to fail.
1 can of coopers stout, 1 can of liquid
dark malt extract (black rock) 10-15 mls
of licorce essence.
Made to 20 litres sg 1050 fg 1014,
brewed around 20 degrees. Racked and
cold conditioned.
Bulk primed with 100g brown sugar 40g
castor sugar. At 3 weeks has creamy head
and tastes like the coopers! Cant wait
for a taste test in 3 months!

Coopers Australian Pale Ale
by LX
@ 13, Feb 2005 |

|
|
Was my first brew after a long break and
only my third one in total I just used
the coopers kit and the coopers 2
enhancer.
I used the yeast suppied with the kit,
and brewed at between 22-24.
SG 1040 FG 1010. No racking or cold
conditioning and I bottled and primed
with castor sugar.
After two months it has matured well and
although I dont think it tastes much
like the orginal it is a one of the best
simple kit and kilo brews I have
tasted.
Other yeast and added hopps would make
even better
