Malt Shovel Pale Ale
by pacman @ 02, Dec 2006

 3/5

Put down 24/08/06 in MS fermenter to volume of 11.5L. Steeped Morgans Fuggles hop bag for 10 min, & added the lot to wort, plus Safale S-04 dry pitched @ 24degC. Brewed 18-20degC. OG 1040, FG 1014, = low alc! Bland & boring & rated @ 13/20. Not on my to do again list.

 4/5

Put down 27/08/06, using 1.7kg can to 11.5L in MS fermenter, with Safale US-56 dry pitched in wort @ 26degC. Brewed 18 - 20degC OG 1042, FG 1009. Bottled from primary 09/09/06. All gone by mid November. Great result which I gave 8/10 before discovering this review site. Will definitely do again - soon!

Coopers Australian Pale Ale
by pacman @ 02, Dec 2006

 4/5

Put down 01/08/06. 1.7kg can, water to 11.5L in MS fermenter, and 15g BrewCellar European Lager Yeast dry pitched @ 24degC. No other ingredients. Brew temp was 18degC. OG 1043. FG 1009. Bottle primed 12/08/06. Good body & head with flavour showing good balance between malt & hops. 4.5 star effort, but have rated as 4. All gone, so will have to do again.

Coopers Bavarian Lager
by pacman @ 02, Dec 2006

 5/5

Used 1.7kg tin, water to 11.5L and Saflager W34/70. No other ingredients. Dry pitched yeast whilst wort was 26degC. Brewed at ambient temp - 20deg. OG 1043, FG 1010. Bottled after two weeks in primary, clearest I have seen at bottling. Final result excellent. Crystal clear, with good head & body, great taste & crisp finish. Will do this again soon.

Coopers Bitter
by pacman @ 30, Nov 2006

 4/5

Did this using 1.5kg of the tin plus 2 sachets of Coopers yeast pitched @ 26degC to a volume of 11.5L in a MSB fermenter. Nothing else - brewed @ around 20deg for 7 days & bottled. OG 1038 FG 1010. Not a session beer, but one to sip with a nice cigar. Have just put down another, but used 1.6kg of tin contents & anticipating an even better ale.
