Morgans Dockside Stout
by sluggerdog @ 24, Mar 2006

 3/5

This was a kit I did for/with a mate who has just entered brewing. Anyway I was pretty disapointed in this kit, not because of the quality just because it seemed to be very mild in flavour, more like a dark ale. Brewed with a stout booster pack and the supplied yeast. If I did it again would steep some grains. Not bad just not what I expected.

E.S.B Pilsner Fresh Wort Kit

 5/5

Thought it was about time I tried one of these fresh wort kits and they have lived upto their rep. Came out as my best kit brew to date, super easy drinking brew, not as hoppy as it could be but just what I was after. brewed as is with wyeast danish lager. will be doing this one anytime my grain runs out. cannot wait to try the others.

Morgans Canadian Light

 5/5

As I ran out of grain I thought it was time to visit the kit I remember being the best back when I was doing kits. Am glad to report this one is still a cracker, very light in colour and taste so you could easily drink it all afternoon (and morning/night) Mixed with 500 dex / 250 dme / 250 maltodex and 10 grams halleratu and 10 grams of tettanger in hop tea. Used wyeast danish lager.

Morgans Iron Bark Dark Ale
by sluggerdog @ 05, Feb 2006

 4/5

First Kit for ages (done with a friend learning to brew), used it as a base for a porter. Added 1 can Morgans Choc Malt extract with some black and crystal malts and also used british ale wyeast. Came out a cracker, close to my AG porters.

Cascade Imperial Voyage Pale Ale
by sluggerdog @ 11, Dec 2005

 2/5

First kit I have done for months, used a brew bag with british ale 1098. Colour is good, flavour is lacking hops and is rather sweet, not good at all.

E.S.B Bavarian Lager
by sluggerdog @ 18, Mar 2005

 4/5

Made with White Labs German Lager yeast and dry hopped with 10 grams of tettanger. 2 weeks primary, 1 secondary and 2 weeks CC, turned out very nice. Only thing I could thing I would change is too add more hops when dry hopping. Would Do again, lovely white head.

E.S.B Czech Pilsner

Nice and clean pilsner. My first time using a lager yeast, I used saflager (Supplied with can). I also added 10 grams of saaz hops as a hop tea to the primary fermentor. Fermented at about 10C for 2 weeks, 2 day rest and then cold condition for 2 weeks. Next time I would leave the 10 grams of saaz hops out as it has a grassy taste. otherwise great!

Coopers Australian Pale Ale

Used brew enhancer 2 as recommended, used safale yeast and dryhopped in secondary with 12 grams of cascade hops. Very impressed as this was a rush job to fill my empty kegs, good drinking after 1 week in primary and 1 week in secondary. Will do again, maybe next time more cascade hops :-)

Morgans Golden Saaz Pilsener
by sluggerdog @ 13, Jan 2005

 3/5

Brewed using kit yeast, 500g malt/250g dextrose/250g corn syrup and boiled 20 grams of saaz hops for 20 mins and dryhopped with 20gram saaz hops. Dry hopping was probably overdone, came out very grassy, took 2 months for grassy flavour to mellow however it is starting to come out nice now. (3 months later)

Coopers Original Lager
by sluggerdog @ 09, Jan 2005

My first Can as it comes with the coopers micro brewery kit. Nice and simple, after tasting for the first time convinsed me to continue brewing. I dry hopped with saaz and added dextrose, nothing else

Morgans Canadian Light

I found this to be a very each drinking summer beer, very low on bitterness but a good kit to add extras too. Very nice with Tettnanger or Hallertau Hops
