Black Rock Dry Lager

Just an update on the last review
posted. Its now been three months in
the bottle and it is getting there. I
had one the other day and it tasted like
a beer, so hopefully sooner rather than
later it will be a good drop.
All in all, give it time!

Coopers Australian Pale Ale

its been 6 weeks - the brew with kit,
BE2 and recultured coopers yeast - very
drinkable now, a lighter version of CPA
- needs probably another few weeks to be
a great drop, but is very promising.
Not exactly malty like the real thing,
would need a 1.5kg coopers LME to get
close to emulating the original, and
maybe 12g PoR.
This kit needs time but thanks to the
cultured coopers yeast its got a great
taste to it.

Coopers Australian Pale Ale

Brewed two batches. The first was kit,
BE2 and rehydrated CPA from 3 stubbies -
brewed around 20*. After 20odd days it
had alright carbonation, poor head
retention, lacked bitterness, and was a
little sweet. Hopefully it will improve
after another couple of months
The second batch was kit, 1kg light dry
malt extract, 12.5g PoR (bitterness) and
rehydated CPA yeast. Tastes much
better. Actually tastes a little like
the real thing, hopefully will only get
better.

Morgans Blue Mountain Lager

Brewed using kit, 1kg LDME, 25g
Hallertau MF and Saflager. After two
weeks it was ok, but still fairly
immature. 6 weeks later its improved
out of sight, but still needs another
month or so. Great drop, good can for
experimenting

Black Rock Dry Lager

Ingredients were kit, 1kg LDME, 25g
Liberty, Dry enzyme supplied and
Saflager. Brewed around 20*C, which was
dissapointing but couldnt do anything
about it. PF for 2 weeks, racked for
another week, then bulk primed. After
two weeks in the bottle it tasted like
dog poo, 2 Months later it wasnt much
better. Will leave for about 5 months
and hopefully it improves. Probably
would do again but make sure it was
brewed colder and had mores more flavour
and aroma hops... (saaz, hallertau MF
etc)

Coopers Traditional Draught

Brewed with 1.5Kg Wheat malt, 12g
chinook and 25g cascade (dry) using
Safale in hope of a LCPA clone. Tasted
alright two weeks after bottling, and
two months later is not a bad beer, just
needs a month or two to mature and its
hoppiness to mellow.
