Made to specs using a Coopers Lager for
the bittered extract, and 1728 Scottish
Ale. Needed some aging, but turned out
nice and roasty, with a good bittrness
to it.

As good as it gets

Shazzam! How good can a minimum fuss
ale
get? Done to the specs, no better than
this, I`d think. For me, the perfect
winter ale with a beef casserole and
parsley dumplings.The Grumps have
outdone themselves here.

Made to spec with wyeast 1056 - very
nice dark beer - rich roasty flavours.
Bittered perfectly, it has the right of
bite to it. Specs OG 1051 - FG 1014
week in primary week in secondary all at
20 deg.

Rich flavour, dark, a nice drink but to
my mind, not one for a hot day. More a
winter beer.

I used the yeast from Coopers Sparkling
Ale. Probably not the best choice.
