Warm, Dark, and very comfortable

This is a wonderful drop for those
looking for something between most
commercial dark ales and a stout. The
roasted note is quite pronounced
intially but mellows wonderfully over a
couple of months. One to cuddle up to on
a chilly winter evening. Recommend
Wyeast 1028 and for something a litte
different, Wyeast 1007.

Done this brew twice, once with Wyeast
1056 then 1335 20c and 22c, both good. A
good PORTER.

Yum!

I've made this twice, once with the
supplied safale, the second time with
Wyeast 1098. The first time was my
first MB, and I burnt it a little on the
boil. The result wasn't too bad ( a
week in CC, and now about 3 months in
the bottle). The second time I had a
lot more control over the boil and it
tasted superb on bottling - less edgy
than with the safale yeast. Yet to
taste carbonated version - it's only
been in the bottle three days!
