View Kit

Needs more
by Davo @ 22, Jul 2007 |

|
|
Brewed with 1kg Brew enhancer 1, kit
yeast and tried
about 200g of golden syrup to 23 litles.
After about 2
months tried and did not find the golden
syrup
imparted any noticable flavour and the
beer seemed a
little watery. Head was poor. Could do
with some malt
and hops. Good plain flavours to work
with.

Not bad

1 x Coopers Draught, 1kg BE1, kit
yeast.
Brewed at 20c for 8 days.
Bottled with Coopers Carbonated drops.
After 3 weeks in bottle found was well
carbonated with reasonable head
retention. Could do with some more
flavour but that was to be expected with
such as simple recipe.
A good quaffer while watching the footy.

Use a lager yeast
by Lamc @ 20, Oct 2006 |

Another good startin kit. I make it to
try to get a megaswill beer for my mates
always using saflager, malt and dex and
sometimes flavour hops. A good beer to
get pissed on with your CUB mates on a
hot summers day. (I do not condone
drinking CUB products unless you have
to.)

Refreshing
by MJ @ 22, Dec 2005 |

Tried this one a while ago now. 1 can
Coopers Original Draught, 1kg dextrose,
1/2 small lemon and kit yeast. Fermented
at around 28-30 degrees (I live in
Katherine NT) and botteled after 7 days.
It has quite a refreshing taste, perfect
for those hot days.

Let it age
by Sarge @ 15, Dec 2005 |

Fermented at 21.5 degrees, 7 days with
Brewiser #20. Kegged, excellent head
retention, improves remarkably with age.
Give it some time and you will find it
very drinkable.

again with 1kg of LME.
Am not impressed. Bitter after tase with
lack of structure. Would not brew again.

Nice Drop
by Drew Carey82 @ 30, Nov 2005 |

Primary for 7 days, secondary for 5 with
finings.
Just brewed with a coopers brew enhancer
2, to 23 litres.
Primed with Castor Sugar.
After two weeks came out with a great
head and plenty of bubbles and a lovely
flavour will get better with age.

A good quaffer
by Thunderlips @ 16, Jan 2005 |

I've made this a few times using a
simple mix of 500gms DME, 500gms
dextrose and dry hoping with 10 to 15gms
of cascade hops. This is better than
your average megaswill.
A good session beer which will probably
become a regular in one of my kegs.
